While Shawnee State University does not offer institutional scholarships or grants to online students, we encourage you to apply for outside awards.

Scholarships
Shawnee State University is meeting the needs of local teaching populations with several new scholarship opportunities for teaching professionals to earn their graduate degree in Education.
Returning Bears
Provides a 15% discount on total tuition for those teachers who received their undergraduate degree from Shawnee State University.
Regional Bears
Provides a 15% discount on total tuition for teachers residing in Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton counties in Ohio, and Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Fleming, Greenup, Lawrence, Lewis, Mason, and Rowan counties in Kentucky.
3-Person Cohort
For teachers from the same school district, a $1,000 discount each on total tuition is redeemable during the last semester of the program.*
6-Person Cohort
For teachers from the same school district, a $3,000 discount each on total tuition is redeemable during the last semester of the program.*
